About

Location
Situated on 28 acres over the Nkutu Valley in the Kloof area of KwaZulu Natal. The centre offers a nurturing day retreat venue in tropical surroundings with views and walks through the indigenous rolling landscapes of the preserved natural environment.
The Waterfall Retreat & Environmental Centre is committed to
Deepening our understanding of the mind
Preserving the wildlife and indigenous environment of the Nkutu Nature Reserve
Motivation
The practice of mindful awareness is at the heart of all activities at the retreat. Our events, including gentle morning Sanghas and themed day retreats, are grounded in present moment awareness, offering opportunities for personal growth and self-reflection. By creating a nurturing space for mindfulness, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of the mind and cultivate inner peace.
In addition to our internal programmes, the centre serves as a venue for visiting facilitators, both local and international, who bring fresh perspectives and expertise to our community.
We are also proud to be the home of The Samye Dharma Practice Group of the Karma Kagyu Lineage in Durban.
